Two-tone gold vintage dangle earrings diamond set

A chic pair of vintage dangle earrings, lever-back closure, old mine diamonds, 18kt yellow and white gold, circa 1940’s, excellent vintage condition… A touch of history.

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.

MATERIAL : 18K bi-color gold (yellow and white), although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold).
DIAMONDS : Two old mine brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.70 crt. and two old mine brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.03 crt.
WEIGHT : 3.60 gram (2.31 dwt)
HALLMARKS : 750 indicating 18K gold
