COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.
STYLE : early Art Deco
STYLE SPECIFICS : Art Deco - Abstract motives and geometrical forms are quite typical for the Art Deco period.
PERIOD : 1910
SOURCE OF INSPIRATION : Christianity
THEME : cross
MATERIAL : 18K bi-color gold (yellow and white), although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamond is set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold).
b>DIAMONDS : 50 rose cut diamonds. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
