Diamonds pearl knot pendant Princess necklace, Art Nouveau jewelry

A feminine Art Nouveau Princess necklace with dangle pendant, in knot design, set with diamonds and pearl, crafted circa 1910's, necklace in excellent antique condition… A touch of history.

OBJECT GROUP : pendants
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.
STYLE : Art Nouveau
STYLE SPECIFICS : Art Nouveau - The floral ornaments and botanical designs are very typical for the Art Nouveau style. Also the use of curvilinear lines is typical for this period.
PERIOD : 1910
MATERIAL : 18K bi-color gold (yellow and white), although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold).
DIAMONDS : One old mine brilliant cut diamond with an estimated weight of approx. 0.22 crt. 26 rose cut diamonds. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
PRECIOUS STONES : One real orient pearl
WEIGHT : 4.30 gram (2.76 dwt)
HALLMARKS : No trace

MEASUREMENTS : Height pendant approx. 3.74 cm (1.47 inch); length necklace approx. 42.00 cm (16.54 inch)
