Art Deco Lady Di ring with brilliants and sapphire

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.
STYLE : Art Deco
PERIOD : 1910
MATERIAL : 18K yellow gold and platinum, although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in platinum. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold).
DIAMONDS : Six old mine brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.50 crt. and 16 rose cut diamonds. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
TOTAL DIAMOND WEIGHT :0.50 carat (exclusive rose cut diamonds)
PRECIOUS STONES : One natural sapphire
BIRTHSTONES : Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for the month April
