COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.
STYLE : Art Deco
STYLE SPECIFICS : Art Deco - Abstract motives and geometrical forms are quite typical for the Art Deco period.
PERIOD : 1920
MATERIAL : 18K bi-color gold (yellow and white), although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamond/s is/are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older
period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation
on silver on gold).
DIAMONDS : One old mine brilliant
cut diamond with an estimated weight of approx. 0.20 crt.,
two old mine brilliant
cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.06 crt. and
22 rose cut diamonds. We do not have
the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
TOTAL DIAMOND WEIGHT :approx. 0.26 crt. (without the rose cut diamonds)
