Late Victorian big rose cut diamond pendant with old cut diamonds and garnet

Country of origin: Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.

Material: 18K bi-color (yellow and white) gold, although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold). - (precious metals)
Diamonds: One big pear-shape and ten smaller round rose cut diamonds. and old brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.40 crt. We do not have the weight of this diamond which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
