All around embellished with 23 brilliant cut rail-set diamonds, this 14K white gold Estate eternity band from 1960 symbolizes everlasting adoration and allegiance as only an alliance ring on the hand of the right woman offered by the right man can do.

In French they are called "alliance". The stones are usually round or square, and the setting is usually either claws or a channel setting.
