Art Deco 3-string pearl necklace with diamond closure

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN : Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.
STYLE : Art Deco
STYLE SPECIFICS : Art Deco - Abstract motives and geometrical forms are quite typical for the Art Deco period.
PERIOD : 1920
DIAMONDS : 32 old mine brilliant cut diamonds with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.70 crt.
PRECIOUS STONES : Three strings of lustrous pearls, strung 'en chute' meaning from small to the closure in the back to big in the front. The position of the closure is not in the neck opposite of the largest pearl but at "three o'clock". So the closure is visible on the chest when wearing.
BIRTHSTONES : Diamond (attributions) is the birthstone (or month stone) for April and pearl (attributions) for June.
WEIGHT : 25.60 gram (16.46 dwt)
MATERIAL : 18K white gold - (precious metals)
HALLMARKS : No trace
CONDITION : Excellent condition - (our condition scale)
DIMENSIONS : Length closure 1.82 cm (0.72 inch), length shortest string 41.00 cm (16.14 inch)
