Late Victorian two tone golden diamonds and sapphire toi and moi ring

In our everlasting quest to find fresh antique jewelry we stumbled upon a real treasure. A jeweler's stock that has been in the family vaults for approximate 80 years. It is not often that we find jewelry that has been "trapped" in a time capsule. All jewelry in this stock was brand new when it was stored decades ago and besides a little dusting off we didn't have to do anything to offer it in its original splendour. This is as close to "brand new antique jewelry" as it can get.

Theme: Toi et Moi ring - The French call this shape of rings "Toi et Moi" which means "You and me".
Material: 18K bi-color (yellow and white) gold, although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold). - (precious metals)

Diamonds: One old mine brilliant cut diamond with an estimated weight of approx. 0.11 crt. and three senailles. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. We do not have the weight of these diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to senailles.
Precious stones: sapphire with an estimated weight of approx. 0.19 crt - (precious stones)
Birthstones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April and sapphire for September.
