HALLMARKS : French hallmarks - eagle and dog - We are sure of the origin of this jewel because of the control mark representing an eagle’s head (that was in use in France from about 1838). Besides this eagle's head we also find the French dog's head which is the official hallmark for jewelry containing or made of platinum and that has been used since 1912.
