Subjects or figures derived from Greek or Roman mythology, sometimes used as a decorative motif on pendants or other articles of jewelry, e.g. Leda, Climon and Pera, Medusa, The Judgment of Paris, Hercules, Aphrodite, Amphitrite, Orpheus, Europa, and many Baroque Pearl jewels depicting tritons, nereids, sirens, centaurs, hippocampi, dragons, griffins etc.
