MATERIAL : 18K reddish yellow gold
TECHNIQUE : Thin gold – In the time this jewel was made gold was very expensive and labour relatively cheap. To be able for the “not so rich” to wear gold jewelry too, jewelers
used a technique to made gold jewelry very thin to obtain an optimal effect with as little as intrinsic costs as possible. As such jewels are very fragile and a lot of things could have happened
to them over the ages, it is not obvious to find them in this condition. In the same light the use of the strass stones has to be seen; used for their effect rather then its intrinsic value.

and six red strass stones
