Architectural Art Deco Platinum Diamond Ring, Belgium, circa 1950

This Belgian platinum Art Deco style ring, dating from around 1950, has a striking architectural presence. Two old European cut diamonds anchor the stepped, geometric composition, while four smaller diamonds sharpen its symmetry and sense of movement. With approximately 1.92 carats in total, the design feels bold yet disciplined, carrying the confidence of Art Deco into the early post war years. A ring with real character, made for someone drawn to strong lines rather than quiet convention.

Style
Art Deco style jewellery - Dating from around 1950, this jewel continues the geometric design language associated with Art Deco. Its architectural composition, stepped construction, rectangular outlines and strong symmetry retain the characteristic visual vocabulary of the style. Although made after the principal Art Deco period, the design illustrates how its clean lines and bold geometry continued to influence diamond jewellery during the early post-war years.
