Interbellum estate bar brooch with in-line Dutch rose cut diamonds

Country of origin: Although it does not carry any legible control marks we believe it is of Belgian origin.
Style: Interbellum - (styles overview)
Style specifics: The Interbellum is the period between the two World Wars and one can recognize a transition from the Art Deco style to the Retro style.
Period: ca. 1930 (events and facts in 1930)
Material: 18K bi-color (yellow and white) gold , although most of this jewel is in yellow gold, the diamonds are set in white gold. This finds it origin in a much older period where it was common for diamonds to be set in silver (see explanation on silver on gold). - (precious metals)
Diamonds: Eleven nice white and high domed rose cut diamonds. We do not have the weight of the diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to rose cuts.
