Red gold strong design Retro bracelet with hidden watch signed Altenloh Brussels

To call this a wrist watch would not do justice to the craftmanship and the beauty of the jewel. We rather call this a bracelet watch.

Style specifics: The Retro Style is a recent designation for the period in the forties when large scale, stylized geometric forms, drapes, bows or ribbons were all the rage. Pink Gold, set with colored stones, sometimes in floral forms was common. But this type of jewelry is also specific for the fifties of the twenthieth century.
Period: ca. 1940 (events and facts in 1940)
Material: 18K bi-color (yellow and white) gold - (precious metals)
Extra information: The watch that has the name "ALTENLOH" on its face and is covered by a half-spherical shape clustered with natural sapphires. It can be easily opened and closed. It comes with the original box that has the name Altenloh in it. R. and E. Altenloh were suppliers to the Belgian court in Brussels, you can still see the little crown above their name in the box (see picture).
Diamonds: 26 single brilliant cut diamonds (also called 8/8) with a total estimated weight of approx. 0.65 crt.
Note: All diamond weights, color grades and clarity are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
