Elephant

The elephant, a huge animal with a long trunk and two long, curved tusks, has a positive symbolic meaning all over the world. Because he lives so long (life spans of 60 years or more) he is the symbol of overcoming death. In Asia he was tamed as a royal mount and he was praised for his wisdom. In China the elephant was the symbol of power and also of wisdom.
