Name brooch

An inexpensive article of sentimental jewelry of the late 19th century, being a silver brooch bearing a feminine given name, usually in relief, but sometimes cut-out. Such brooches, generally horizontal, are of many fancy shapes; a few are circular within a decorative frame.
