Point-cut diamond

A diamond in the form of an octahedron, being the natural form of the stone, and merely polished; sometimes called a Glassie. It was the earliest style used, from c. 1475, and was seldom used after the early 16th century when it was largely superseded by the pyramid cut and the table cut diamond.
