Belt

Anything encircling or engirdling the waist, used as pure ornament; to support dress, ornaments, weapons; to serve as a bandage for warmth or protection; or to indicate office or special possition. Made rigid as a single unit, from a series of joined parts, or a combination of these,. When wide enough, a belt becomes a corset or corselet.
