Green gold

An alloy of gold, made with varying percentages of silver (25%-40%), zinc or cadmium, and being 18 - to 14 carat gold. It has a greenish colour. Three shades were generally made: vert de pré (meadow gold), vert feuille (leaf gold), and vert d'eau (water gold).
