Watch
A small timepiece to be carried or worn on the person. Watches were probably made from c. 1500.
A watch is worn in several ways:
- a pocket watch, attached to a watch fob or a watch chain
- a bracelet watch or wrist watch, attached to a bracelet or band around the wrist
- a pendant watch worn by a woman suspended from a brooch or chain
- a lapel watch
- a finger-ring watch
